My good friend went to Dr. Maloney 12 years ago and said getting Lasik was one of the best decisions he ever made, and that Dr. Maloney was the best in the business. I've been thinking about getting Lasik for years, and finally the daily grind of putting contacts in/out, buying solution, and still having dry eyes at the end of the day got to me. Always in the back of my mind I knew if I was going to do it - I was going to go to the best. No way in the world I was going to find a low-cost provider when dealing with my eyes! Groupon, are you kiddin me?! So for my procedure it was always Lasik with Dr. Maloney, or no Lasik at all. I had my surgery yesterday, slept last night, went back to Dr. Maloney's office this morning with 20/15 vision! Incredible.

The surgery was simple and easy. Dr. Maloney is an incredibly nice guy - and his staff is top notch. I highly recommend Maloney Vision Institute to anyone seeking Lasik.

I had Lasik at Maloney Vision Institute 3 weeks ago and am so pleased with the results.

I had worn glasses since I was 5 years old, and my vision and astigmatism were so bad that contacts didn't work too well for me. For years I had thought about getting Lasik, but was afraid it wouldn't be an option for me because of my extreme astigmatism. My optometrist, Dr. Melamed, referred me to Dr. Maloney for a consultation and assured me that Dr. Maloney would not agree to do Lasik on me if I was not a good candidate.

During my consultation Dr. Maloney and his team spent almost 3 hours taking measurements and double-checking my prescription. Dr. Maloney was upfront about the potential risk of halos and glare at night, due to my astigmatism, but assured me I was a good candidate for Lasik.

I scheduled the procedure for 3 weeks later, and in the meantime became a bit apprehensive about the possibility of severe halos and glare and night. (I didn't want to have difficulty driving at night.) I called Dr. Maloney's office 3 or 4 times with specific questions about my apprehensions and they got back to me in a timely and helpful manner.

The day of the procedure, I was nervous. Dr. Maloney's staff was calming and reassuring. They even let my husband come into the operating room with me. The procedure itself had some uncomfortable elements. (I don't know anyone who would be comfortable with plastic cups in their eye.) I felt no pain, however, and it was over in what seemed like less than 10 minutes.

Dr. Maloney called later that night, checking in to see how I was doing, which I thought was a nice touch.

The next morning, I went in for a follow-up appointment (which I drove myself to), and Dr. Maloney tested my eyes. I now have 20/15 vision. Incredible. This is someone who couldn't read the large digital alarm clock next to my bed! And as for the nighttime halos and glare: It's apparent and noticeable, but not debilitating, certainly, and I can absolutely drive at night. I am also told they should decrease in the next few weeks.

In short, this is one of the best decisions I've ever made. I should have done it sooner.

If you live anywhere near the LA area, Dr. Maloney is the one to see for Lasik. No need to look anywhere else. His years of experience and professionalism made putting my trust in him easy and his personal touches made the experience wonderful. I highly recommend him.

I conducted a long and thorough research for the most qualified, experienced, and dependable LASIK surgeon in the area. And one name kept coming up at the top of each list - Dr. Robert Maloney. So, I called to make an appointment. The day of my appointment, I walked into the office and was immediately greeted by a professional and extremely friendly receptionist. After only a few minutes of waiting, I met Wanda. She did my consult and surgical analysis. Wanda was kind, patient, and listened to all of my concerns. I brought a long list of questions with me and she took the time to answer each one in great detail. I never felt pushed or that I was receiving a "sales pitch." Then, I met with Dr. Maloney. Upon reviewing my test results, he determined I was an excellent candidate for the LASIK procedure. So, I decided to make an appointment for the surgery. On the day of the procedure, I walked into the office and they treated me with nothing but compassion and kindness. They explained, in detail, each step of the procedure beginning with the preparation. Once I was ready for the actual LASIK surgery, I was led into the surgical center. Dr. Maloney was there waiting for me. The procedure took only a few minutes. Dr. Maloney described what he was doing the entire time. I did not experience any pain, just some mild discomfort that was very brief. Once Dr. Maloney was finished, I sat up and could immediately see much better. My vision was foggy, which is completely natural after this procedure. The fogginess disappeared after about 6 hours. I followed all of Dr. Maloney's post surgery instructions. I took it easy for a few days after the surgery and rested my eyes as much as possible. It is now 3 weeks after my LASIK surgery, and I am happy to report that my eyes feel good and my vision has greatly improved. (I am still in shock when I wake up in the morning and I can see my alarm clock!) Overall, I am extremely happy that I chose Dr. Maloney to do my LASIK procedure. If you are thinking about getting this done or are just curious about it, I highly recommend you call the Maloney Vision Institute right away and schedule an appointment. You will know that you and your eyes are in good hands.

I just had LASIK done with Dr. Maloney after years of debating and researching the procedure. If you're considering having it done, see Dr. Robert Maloney, he's the best! Procedure is pain free and incredibly fast (literally seconds). I don't know why I waited so long but as a teacher, I was tired of getting "Pink eye" from the students at school. Feels so good to be free from infection, contacts & glasses. Thanks Dr. Maloney and Wanda for walking me through this. I'm so happy!!!
